OUR MISSION
Emerald & Oak was born from a simple but powerful idea — that good design can change the way we live and feel every day. Inspired by countless hours spent sketching ideas and solving problems for friends and family, Emerald & Oak grew from a passion for turning rough concepts into purposeful, beautiful spaces. What started as a creative outlet quickly became a calling — blending technical skill with a love for design to help others bring their visions to life. Today, Emerald & Oak partners with clients to design thoughtful, functional environments where creativity meets intention, and every detail is considered.
WHO WE ARE
My passion for engineering started long before I knew it would become a career. What began as days spent in the woodshop with my grandpa to solving design puzzles for friends and family slowly evolved into a full-fledged business. I discovered CAD in high school and something just clicked. From there I went to school for engineering. I loved the way I could take an idea and turn it into something tangible and buildable.
After spending 12 years in manufacturing, I gained a deep appreciation for precision, problem-solving, and the importance of every detail - skills that now shape the way I approach every project. Emerald & Oak was born from blending that technical background with my creative side, and a love for the rich character found in historic buildings.
What excites me most are the projects that come with a challenge - the ones that require creative problem-solving, reimagining possibilities, and finding beauty in function. I love working closely with clients to bring clarity to their vision and craft spaces that feel both inspiring and deeply personal.
When I'm not in the woodshop or behind my computer, you'll probably find me chasing around my three kids with my husband, exploring antique stores with my sister, or working on one of my own many projects around the house.
